Why buyers work with Sunbay

We own the process from tooling to carton

Four things decide whether a disposable packaging order runs smoothly: who cuts the mould, who holds the wall thickness, who checks the lid fit, and who can repeat the same specification a year later. All four sit in one plant in Linyi.

Thin-wall injection moulding

Containers, bowls, sauce cups and cutlery are moulded in-house on thin-wall tooling. Wall thickness is held by the mould rather than by the operator, so unit weight, nesting depth and stack height stay consistent between production runs.

Blister extrusion

Blister extrusion gives us thin, even-walled trays and containers with a wide flange for lid clamping. For larger footprints and first runs it also keeps tooling cost below an equivalent injection mould.

Integrated moulding

Bodies, lids, dividers and handles come off matched moulds, so one lid fits every size in a family and a three-compartment box shares its lid with the single-compartment version. Fewer SKUs to hold, fewer mismatches on the line.

The full disposables scope

Injection moulded and blister takeaway boxes, fruit containers, fresh produce trays, bakery boxes, cutlery sets, juice cups, and catering disposables — dozens of product lines from one supplier, one set of documents and one container.

Selected items

Four items buyers reorder

Four families, four different freight profiles: a nesting carton of containers, a 4.8 g sauce cup, a 1,000-piece cutlery carton and a paper cup built on a shared 80 mm lid rim. Each item page carries its own packing data.

How an order runs

From your drawing to a loaded container

Most of our work is repeat business, so the process is built to be predictable rather than fast. These are the four stages and the timings we work to as standard.

Enquiry and specification review

Send the size, material, colour, print and target quantity per size. A drawing, a photograph or a competitor sample is enough to start — we come back with the item number that matches closest and where a new mould would be needed.

Quotation and packing plan

You receive the unit price together with pieces per carton, carton dimensions, CBM and cartons per 40HQ. Freight is usually the second-largest line after the goods, so it is quoted alongside the price, not after it.

Tooling, sampling and approval

Where a new mould is required the tooling is quoted as a separate line. Pre-production samples are typically ready in 5–7 days; mass production starts on your written approval of sample and artwork.

Production, inspection and loading

Production runs against the approved sample with in-house QC on every batch. Loading is photographed, and the packing list, invoice and shipping documents are issued against what was actually loaded.

20,000 pcs — typical MOQ per size
20–30 days lead time after deposit
5–7 days for pre-production samples
40HQ loading plan with every quotation

MOQ, lead time and sampling figures above are the commercial defaults we quote for a repeat specification. They are confirmed per order once the specification, tooling and artwork are fixed.

Quality

In-house QC on every production batch

Shandong Sunbay New Material Co., Ltd. has manufactured disposable food-contact packaging in Linyi, Shandong since 2017. The site covers 26,000 m² in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and moulding, finishing and packing run on it — which is how a specification is held rather than re-quoted.

  • Incoming material checked against the specification before release to production.
  • In-process inspection of wall thickness, dimensions and lid fit on every batch.
  • Finished-goods check on carton count, packing configuration and print.
  • Batch samples retained, so a later question can be traced back to the run it came from.
  • Third-party lab testing and factory audits arranged on request — tell us the market.
